Stack Testing
Air Quality
Services has extensive experience in conducting emissions tests for
industrial facilities and utilities. We utilize mobile test trailers
containing state-of-the-art criteria pollutant analyzers and support
equipment.
Our experience and capabilities include:
- Reference Method testing for particulate emissions (TSP,
PM10, metals, particle sizing), gaseous emissions
(SO2,
NOX,
CO,
THC,
O2,
CO2,
H2S,
HCl), as well as a variety of
source-specific organic and/or inorganic compounds.
- Testing programs for coal-fired power plants and various
processing or manufacturing plants. These projects typically
consisted of full-spectrum testing services
including, but not limited to: testing objectives, test
design, operational requirements, regulatory agency
notification and liaison,
QA/QC, sample collection and analysis, and report
preparation.
- Testing for Hazardous Air Pollutants (VOST, Semi-VOST,
TO-12 and
TO-14, toxic metals, toxic organics). We have
conducted these HAPs testing programs for incinerators,
kilns, industrial furnaces, RCRA facilities (Part B
permits), and RCRA and TSCA Trial Burns.

- Managing projects to meet USEPA Relative Accuracy Test
Audit (RATA) requirements. These projects utilized
instrumental methods for SO2, NOX, CO2, and flow.
- Testing programs for: 1) demonstrating contract guarantee
parameters, 2) demonstrating compliance with emission
limitations, 3) VOC capture efficiency, 4) control equipment
removal efficiency, and 5) Method 301 development and
validation.
- Visible Emissions Evaluations (USEPA Method 9).
