Opacity Filter Certification
Air Quality Services offers prompt, NIST traceable recertification of your neutral density opacity filters. This service is provided with a turn-around-time of fifteen (15) business days or less, and our rates are very reasonable. Complete regulatory compliance ensured by rigid QA/QC practices.
Services Include:
- Filter Recertification per 40 CFR Part 60 (Appendix B) Revised Performance Specification 1 (applicable to COMS installed or renovated after 2/5/2001) and, by reference, ASTM Standard D6216-98
- NIST Traceable
- Prompt notification of significant filter variations that may necessitate a remedial option
- Enhanced reports include both the numeric results and graphs of transmittance readings at 10nm intervals over two scans, the second scan rotated 90 degrees to the first. This reporting format promotes compliance with the revised PS-1 regulatory requirement of less than 0.25% variance between the two scans.
