Ambient Air Monitoring

Air Quality Services offers comprehensive ambient air monitoring services. We have provided all aspects of ambient air monitoring, including the tasks listed below. Most of our projects are related to permit issues, and as such, the ambient air monitoring operation meet the appropriate QA/QC measures specified in the federal PSD rules.

Tower

Our experience and capabilities include:

  • Network design
  • Liaison with regulatory agency
  • Construction/installation of instrument shelters
  • Procurement, installation and setup of continuous ambient air monitors, intermittent ambient air samplers, and meteorological sensing equipment
  • Operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Performance of QA/QC measures, as specified in the federal PSD rules
  • Performance of quarterly audits
  • Preparation and submittal of reports to Client and to state agency
Parameters Monitored: Air Quality Services has extensive experience in providing ambient air monitoring of the following parameters: SO2, O3, NOX, CO, PM10, TSP, temperature, barometric pressure, rainfall, solar radiation, and wind speed/direction. Additionally, our key staff has operated a broad-based indoor/outdoor sampling network as a part of a USEPA research project.
